Discovery contacted SMASH IT!™️ in order to improve their sales skills throughout the team.
Discovery had just launched a new service and wanted to maximise their sales and communication within the organisation.
After an initial call with MD Alison Edgar, Discovery Inc opted for sales training for their yearly off-site event.
Prior to training, members of staff were asked to fill out a survey to identify their key challenges and objectives, which allowed us to tailor the training specifically to their needs. With management’s consent, we suggested changing the sales training initially requested to Intrapreneurship training, which would naturally meet more of the participants’ objectives and satisfy the pain points.
The training was a huge success, with all of the participants understanding the SMASH IT!™️ with Intrapreneurship methodology and how to apply this to their individual roles within the organisation. By looking at the ‘What Would I Do if it was my Business’ module, participants were able to understand the fundamentals and importance of sales and the impact not selling the new product could have on the wider organisation.
They also looked at the ‘White Room’ strategy, learning how change is important in an organisation, and how to embrace it.
In essence, the course was a huge success and ultimately provided Discovery with a team ready to embrace change and move forward with the new service.
