SMASH IT!® With Intrapreneurship

The new concept that enhances teams, improves leadership and develops culture change.

Intrapreneurship is the act of being an entrepreneur inside of a larger organisation.

Wouldn’t it be perfect if all employees loved the business like the owner? Sadly, this is not the case. Often resources go to waste, projects aren’t planned and executed properly, and sales opportunities go amiss. But what if we told you that we can help to change your team members’ mindsets to learn to love the business they work for, and increase intrapreneurship?

MD Alison Edgar MBE uses her extensive experience working with Dragon’s Den and Apprentice Winners and in the entrepreneurial landscape to help employees think like the UK’s top entrepreneurs. She encourages employees to understand exactly what it is that makes an entrepreneur successful, whilst understanding the causes behind lack of motivation, fear of change, poor productivity, or other pain points highlighted.

How is it delivered?

This module can be delivered either directly to leadership teams to implement within their teams (as used by The Discovery Channel) or can be delivered to whole organisations

Alison Edgar MBE’s ‘What Would I Do If It Was My?’ methodology helps employees to think:

What would I do if it was my first day?

How would you behave if it was your first day? Would you take an extra 30-minutes of lunch or would you be pro-actively finding new tasks to keep yourself busy? Would you embrace the change or would you fight it?

In this module, delegates will understand the difference between a first-day and a 30-year mindset. They will analyse what a 30-year mindset looks like in your organisation. Using the ‘White Room’ strategy, they will be encouraged to take a deep dive analysis into what is working, what isn’t working, and what they can change moving forward.

What would I do if it was my best friend?

Would you speak to your best friend in the same way you speak to your customers and colleagues? Chances are, you’re not giving them the level of communication they deserve.

Prior to this module, delegates will be asked to fill out an Ensize DISC behaviour profile, which analyses not only how they behave and how they like to be treated, but also what motivates them. This allows for more personal internal coaching around goals in the future.

The session will focus on understanding the four behaviour types, how to recognise in your organisation, how to identify within your customers, and how to adapt to treat them the way they want to be treated ultimately creating better internal and external comms and better customer service.

What would I do if it was my business?

Often members of staff don’t realise the wider impact their decisions can have on the organisation. Whether that’s not meeting deadlines, not returning a call quickly enough, or even simply taking a longer lunch break, it can all profoundly affect the organisation as a whole.

This module focuses on what makes a good team, perspective, and Alison Edgar’s Big Balls which ensures they are all speaking in the same prioritisation language that the whole team can understand. It focuses on autonomy, and circles back to the ‘White Room’ strategy. If this was their business, what would they change about how they behave? How they manage or interact with their team? And how they work?
