 Joe’s Tea Co. was born in 2012 and Joe’s sought after organic blends have since won 30 Great Taste Awards, and are stocked in artisan delis, independent restaurants and premium food halls all over the UK.

 Joe and his team first approached the SMASH IT!™️ team in 2017 when they were looking for an uplift in sales. See what Joe had to say about his training and coaching with us below.

What prompted you to contact us?

The key reason for getting in touch was because I wanted to train the team and give us all a structured approach to sales and wanted us all to be singing from the same hymn sheet. Prior to our training, we had a bit of a scattered approach and not much structure to what we were doing so we needed to take action, fast.

What did we do to solve these challenges?

The SMASH IT!™️ training team did a number of things, which were all beneficial in their own way. The first thing it did was brought us together as a team, which was really important because it focused our attention on what the objective was, and how we approach sales. 

Often, we found that sales can be seen as a bit of a dirty word and it’s not necessarily an easy task. So, having a member of the SMASH IT! team in to train us gave us clarity and helped us to break down the barriers to realise that when you think about it, and when there is a structured approach, sales and customer service is exactly the same thing. We now realise that sales is the lifeblood of every business, and without sales, you don’t have a business.

The training is clear and concise and it’s really easy to take bite-sized chunks and apply them to your day-to-day working life. Overall it was a really good experience and I’d recommend it to anybody who needs to get their sales in order.

What has been the impact of the training on your business?

The training from SMASH IT!™️ has 100% given us results! For me personally, it has been a game-changer to the point where I can say that I love sales! We now know that you’re not going to win them all, but I feel now that with every opportunity that comes, armed with the knowledge the SMASH IT!™️ team has given us, we’ve done everything right and we stand a fighting chance. Prior to our training, we were very much selling at customers, but now we know what questions to ask, how to understand what the customer needs, and understand when it’s our time to shine to sell them the right product.

 

Our conversion rate has gone up in all members of the team from 20% to 40%, and our turnover is increasing by 25% year on year, and we have the SMASH IT! team to thank for this.
